RYEAL SIMMS
Relationship Coach
No matter the twists and turns of Ryeal Simms’ life journey, every choice he’s made, every job he’s held and every experience he’s grown from has ordered his steps on the same path. The path of love.
yeal, President and CEO of R.S. Communications, has always been that guy. That guy at the party discussing what makes men and women tick when it comes to love. That guy that friends call up in the middle of the night for advice about their relationship problems. That guy that strangers open up to about matters of the heart at restaurants, bars and even standing in line at the grocery store.
It seemed that no matter what Ryeal was doing with his life – working as a mailman on Chicago’s Northside, striving as a singer/songwriter or toiling as a Hollywood actor and filmmaker – the pressing issue of love and relationships from a personal, social and even Cultural anthropological standpoint was a subject that Ryeal was always drawn to. He sang about it, wrote about it and whenever he got a chance, would study and talk about it. For Ryeal, the topic of love and relationships has always been something he’s never grown tired of.
That’s why after serving as a relationship consultant and producer for varies film projects such as the family drama, When the Time Comes, Office Party (Director) and for Rain, a Showtime Showcase film and love story set during the last five hours of the world, Ryeal decided to commit to his lifelong passion -- To become a relationship coach, motivational speaker and marriage educator.
To that end, Ryeal – who has 15-plus years of relationship research experience – furthered the Communication/Accounting education he received from Lamar University of Beaumont by becoming licensed and certified by the Relationship Coaching Institute and the Prepare/Enrich Program. He then honed in on his mission – To help men and women build strong, healthy relationships with themselves before they make commitments to each other.
As former resident on-air Relationship Coach for Los Angeles’ 102.3 KLJH’s Home Team Morning Show, Ryeal is also a highly sought after lecturer and facilitator for seminars and conferences nationwide. He has sat on panels for Bridging the Black Gender Gap and The Los Angeles Black Book Expo and has also appeared on numerous radio and television talk shows, including The Poetess Show on 92.3/100.3 - The Beat (now V-100) and The Jesse Lee Peterson Show. Additionally, Ryeal co-hosted a relationship Internet radio program on LIBRadio.com, served as a moderator for the weekly program, Ask Deanna!, and is a regular speaker for Girlfriends – a monthly Blackweekly.com singles gathering.
